| • AN ACTIVE AND FRIENDLY COMMUNITY - We'd like this to be a place where people can play anonymously. OOC friends should not determine your success at a community. • MATURITY AND QUALITY - Yeah, roleplay is about having fun. But there's also quite a few people who like to challenge themselves as players and as writers. We'd like to attract mature players who want to put the emphasis on their writing and characterization. • TOLERANT AND WELCOMING - At the same time, we want to welcome members who are willing to take risks with their portrayals. Creativity is more than welcome, as long as your portrayal is firmly rooted in the facts known about your celebrity. We push you to try your best, but every celeb community is slightly AU. • DIVERSITY - In the same vein of being tolerant and friendly, celebrities from all walks of life are welcome and encouraged. Not only would we like to see commonly played celebrities, but also those lesser known. If you've been uncertain of where to take your minority, older, or lesser known celebrity, Travelocity may be the place for you. • EMPHASIS ON INTERACTION AND WRITING - If you're looking for a place where you can write an update every six weeks but otherwise fade into the background the rest of the time, this place probably isn't for you. The update limit is lenient because we want more focus to be on the other aspects of roleplay- scening and interacting through posts in subcommunities. To encourage writing and increased interaction, we have created a THREADING/SCENE SUBCOMMUNITY for multiple player threads and public scenes. • A COMFORTABLE HOME FOR CHARACTERS - Lastly, we'd like Travelocity to be a comfortable home in which members can play their characters without too much fear of ooc drama and cliques. A community is not successful without the effort of its members and therefore, it is every much theirs as it is the moderator's. We'd like to encourage members to give their input and suggestions. The creation of subcommunities or member-run activities is allowed and encouraged. Members can have as much or as little control over the future of this community as they want. |
